DR. CARTER G. WOODSON FESTIVAL

The Dr. Carter G. Woodson Festival was established in 2006 to provide the Oakland Park community with festival honoring the historical significance of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, an African-American historian, author, journalist and the founder of Negro History Week, which became Black History Month.

Mark your calendars for the 7th Annual Dr. Carter G. Woodson Heritage Festival on February 18, 2012 at our new location in Jaco Pastorius Park!
