Youth Day is an Oakland Park tradition celebrating its 58th Anniversary. Youth Day features the longest running parade in Broward County. Other activities include amusement rides, stage shows, music, and to cap off the day, fireworks.
Youth Day Parade: The themed parade commences in front of City Hall at 9 a.m. and winds its way through the neighborhoods ending at NE 5 Avenue/Wimberly Field Athletic Complex. Enter your organization into this fun event and show your pride in Oakland Park. Prizes awarded to the best decorated floats.
Youth Day Carnival: The family fun features amusement rides, stage shows, food and fireworks. Everyone is invited for a day of fun and excitement with all-day ride passes available. Enjoy a wide range of free entertainment from the Mai Kai performers, karate demonstrations, and musical acts.
Little Miss Oakland Park: for girls 4 to 7 years of age that represent Oakland Park.
