Membership & Term Length: This Board consists of seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members from the general public who are appointed by the City Commission. The length of terms shall be three (3) years.
Member Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the City of Oakland Park. It is recommended that the applicant possess a background in architecture, engineering, general contracting, sub-contracting, or real estate.
Meeting Schedule: Second Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. List of 2012 Meeting Dates.
Duties and Responsibilities: To promote, protect, and improve the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens
of Oakland Park by providing an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive method of enforcing the technical
laws and Codes of the City.
