The City’s bulk trash collection routes will be realigned to balance the volume of materials collected in each of the four (4) zones effective November 5. The Solid Waste Division’s realignment of the bulk trash zones will provide for an even distribution of the collection of bulk materials and allow staff the opportunity to deliver other solid waste services more efficiently. The updated bulk trash collection zones will be included in the City's "2013 Talkin' Trash" booklet which will be distributed to all residents when the recycling carts are delivered in late December and to City utility customers when opening a new account. We also offer free collection of household metal items and white goods (major appliances). These items are collected during the week of your scheduled bulk collection, however, since these items are recycled they are collected by a separate vehicle. The items must be separated from your other bulk trash items. As with bulk pickup these items must be placed curbside, in a neat and orderly fashion, no later than 7 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week. See the Bulk Trash Collection Rules and Bulk Map.
