Full curbside recycling
is made available for both residential and commercial customers. Oakland Park promotes recycling, not just through
advertising, but by such innovative programs as the weight-based system of garbage collection for commercial customers.
This "pay as you throw" type collection program actually rewards customers...by only charging them for the
disposal of the waste they actually generate. Customers who recycle more, pay less than those who throw away more
garbage. If you wish to participate in our recycling program, please call the Solid Waste office at 954-630-4452,
to request recycle bins. Broward County also has a Recycling Hotline at 954-765-4999.
