The City of Oakland Park, located in the geographic center of South Florida, was incorporated as the City of Floranada in 1925. Four years later, it became known as the City of Oakland Park.

The purpose of Development Review Committee (DRC) is for various City departments to complete a technical review of proposed developments and provide written comments for the applicant.

DRC members include representatives from the following entities: Building, Engineering, Fire, Landscape, Parks & Leisure Services, Planning, Police, Public Works/Solid Waste and Zoning.

Meetings

Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 9 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall.
