Oakland Park's “Welcome Our Wildlife” volunteer group is actively seeking to have residents get their yards certified as wildlife habitats through the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). The NWF established a set of criteria based on population. The City needs at least 5 schools, 5 parks and 150 residential properties to be certified for Oakland Park to be declared a “Certified Community Wildlife Habitat” To date we have reached our goals with schools and parks. We currently have 103 residential properties certified. We need 47 more properties certified.
Join the other Oakland Park residents and businesses who have properties certified as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. Call 954-630-4511 for additional information.
